Greetings! The weather outside is frightful, but the show goes on. Between the holidays and the inclement weather, there has only been one full week of work since December. Even so, I’m still excited about how fast things are going up. Sidewalk SuperintendingThe Upper Crossing roof beams are mostly in place (three to go). If you look carefully, you can notice that the pitch of the Upper Crossing roof decreases as it approaches the B wing roof. As it starts at the east end it matches the slope of the Auditorium, but it flattens as it approaches the B wing. The yellow pine decking is complete in several sections, giving a glimpse of what the ceilings will look like. The plan is to waterproof this layer before installing the lower crossing decking. We had hoped that the roofers could have started applying hot tar this week, but it has been too cold. Out of Sight and Yet to comeThe first Auditorium beams arrive on Thursday, and South Central Excavation is bringing some of our sand back to make a ramp. This will enable driving lifts into the Auditorium area. in preparation for setting Glu-lam beams in the Auditorium. The first ones are 48 feet long,David Weber Owner's Representative, |
