Radically Inclusive...Justice Centered...Spiritually Alive!
We invite all college students to join us once a week during the academic year on the UW campus for authentic community, spiritual growth, and justice-building activism. We meet for informal services led by First Unitarian Society and area UU ministers, members of the Madison community, and members of our campus ministry. During these services, we engage with each other in discussion on a wide variety of topics in an affirming and inclusive environment.
We meet every Sunday evening during the academic year at 5pm for a light supper (provided by us), followed by our service from 5:30-6:30pm. We meet at the UW Memorial Union (see the Today in the Union board on your way in) except the first Sunday of the month when we meet at First Unitarian Society (900 University Bay Dr, across the street from the Childrens' Hospital) to cook our meal together and have our service or discussion there.
This week: Join us to make our annual Gingerbread Houses! This Sunday is our last gathering of the semester. We will share a light supper, unwind with a short guided meditation and let our creativity flow as we make our gingerbread community! 5pm - 6:30pm at the Memorial Union. Check TITU for room location. Plan to join us and bring a friend! All college students are welcome! Questions? Janet at janets@fusmadison.org
Our recent discussions have included Buddhism, meditation,Tae Kwon Do as spiritual practice, nature, music, mandalas, current events, our own spiritual/religious journeys, and Tai Chi. Our Campus Minister, Rev. Kelly Crocker, comes and leads our discussion twice a month.
