This is a great on-line resource offering monthly suggestions and support for faith development in your home. The site offers simple ideas for families to strengthen their UU identity and their UU culture at home. It's also a great way to connect with other UU parents. Go to www.uu@home.com.
KidTalk
KidTalk is a site designed to connect kids to Unitarian Universalism and to each other. It offers seasonal stories, fun information, quick facts, spiritual inspiration, and more. KidTalk is the creative product of the Church of the Larger Fellowship, a branch of UUism that reaches out to those who have no brick and mortar UU church. Taking It Home: Families and Faith
This series of booklets were written for congregations and families to use at home and in community to support them through life transitions and spiritual/ethical challenges. They were written by Unitarian Universalist leaders who have UU families of their own. Choose a booklet that interests or challenges you and your family and discover ways to talk about it. KidSpirit
KidSpirit is a non-profit magazine and online community for 11-15 year olds to discuss values and life’s big questions in a safe and moderated forum. The founders at KidSpirit strive to create a supportive social network in which kids around the globe can feel free to interact and communicate about complex issues in a compassionate and pluralistic manner. The magazine is edited by a group of talented teens who meet monthly to discuss ideas for new issues and to encourage open dialogue with other kids from around the globe. Do you Know About the UUA Bookstore?
The Unitarian Universalist Association has a wonderful bookstore that allows you to order books on-line. There are some awesome parenting and children’s books available there, including such titles as Chaos, Wonder and the Spiritual Adventure of Parenting (edited by Sarah Conover and Tracy Springberry), The Gift of Faith: Tending the Spiritual Lives of Children (Jeanne Harrison Nieuwejarr), A Child’s Book of Blessings and Prayers (collected by Eliza Blanchard), children’s picture books and so much more! Field Trip Consent Forms
If you registered your child for the Neighboring Faiths class, we will need your permission to allow them to occassionally meet off site. Please print and complete this two page form 2012-13 CRE FIELD TRIP and MEDICAL permission forms.pdf, which provides permission to go off site and also provides us with emergency medical information.
You can scan it and return to Deb Mies, Religious Education Program Coordinator at debm@fusmadison.org or drop it off in the envelope at the Religious Education table in the Commons.
