Peace and Justice Committee
Mission Statement:
The Peace and Justice Committee focuses on international peace issues, working in cooperation with existing peace groups locally and nationally, and with the UUA. We take 2 paths to promoting peace:- We provide information about issues related to peace and justice to the FUS community
- We seek to provide opportunities to take action to support peace and justice issues in the community
- The Committee models peaceful, purposeful action.
Congregational Study Action Issue: Peacemaking
The Peace and Justice Committee is facilitating FUS congregational participation in this denomination-wide effort that will culminate in a Peacemaking Statement of Conscience in 2010. New members are welcomed. The Committee meets the first Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.Co-Chairs:
