UU Alliance
It is good knowing
that glasses
are to drink
from;
the bad thing is not to know
what thirst is
for.

The UU Alliance of Madison is an affiliate of First Unitarian Society. We have a history of over 100 years (originally as a women’s group, but now open to all). We meet monthly for fellowship, inspiration, and education through speakers, programs, and excursions. On the district and national levels, the Alliance of Unitarian Women was merged with the Association of Universalist Women in 1963 to form the UU Women's Federation.
There are various ways to get to FUS. Driving directions can be found here. Limited parking is available just outside the Meeting House but you must use a Parking Permit available for free in some newsletters and in the front lobby. There are also alternatives to driving alone. Many people would rather give rides or rideshare than have you feel unsafe or not come. Some of us use the bus. Others bike or walk. There is more information on that here. Please contact an Officer below if you wish to share a ride.
Dues must be paid before October 31 for your name to be included in the next Alliance membership list. A portion of our dues goes to the national organization and to the Central Midwest Women's District. More information about our dues and a form can be had here. Please make checks out to UU Alliance of Madison and give them to Jean Tews, mail them to Jean Tews at 6205 Mineral Point Road, #320; Madison, WI 53705, leave them in the Alliance mailbox in the FUS lobby, or mail them to First Unitarian Society, 900 University Bay Dr., Shorewood Hills, WI 53705-2298 att. Jean Tews.
